“Ori” (The Head) holds significant importance in West African belief as the divine essence guiding one’s destiny. Beyond its physical attributes, it symbolizes a spiritual compass and serves as the inner creator, providing blessings, wealth, and honor. In this belief system, no deity favors an individual without their “Ori.” It acts as both guardian and crown, representing the unseen force that shapes one’s path, deserving of reverence following the Creator.
