"Bloom" captures the delicate transition between innocence and awakening. Her wide, curious eyes hold the calm of discovery. Flowers emerge from her form, symbols of resilience and renewal, while droplets glisten like traces of passing storms, reminders that even after hardship, growth continues quietly, beautifully.
“Bloom” began as a reflection on growth, the quiet unfolding that happens within. I had been watching people, especially young women around me, navigating that fragile stage between innocence and self-understanding. There’s a tenderness to that time of life, when everything is beginning to take shape, yet nothing is fully defined. I wanted to capture the beauty of that transition, the softness and strength existing side by side.
As I worked, I found myself returning to memories of uncertainty, the times when I was learning to trust my own rhythm. The girl in Bloom carries that same feeling. Her expression is gentle but searching, her gaze open, curious. The droplets on her skin are traces of what she’s survived, small echoes of struggle that have only made her more alive. The flowers rising through her form became symbols of that inner renewal, a quiet affirmation that growth can coexist with fragility.
When I look at “Bloom”, I see the quiet courage of becoming, not forced, but patient. It’s about finding peace in transformation and recognizing that even after the rain, something within you continues to open toward the light.
