This artwork captures the quiet strength of a child whose eyes tell stories words can’t express. Her gaze feels deep. filled with sadness, patience, and an understanding beyond her years. The roughness of her hands and the softness of her sweater contrast innocence with struggle, showing how even childhood can carry silent burdens. Through this piece, I wanted to reflect the unseen emotions children often hold. Their quiet endurance, their longing, and the unspoken weight of growing up too soon.
I created this piece during a time I felt deeply tired of myself and life’s weight. It felt unfair to face things bigger than my age, and I longed for rest, not from people, but from stillness. The girl’s quiet gaze reflects that longing, that silent cry for peace. Her expression, her hands, everything in this work mirrors the moment I just wanted to hide away, to breathe again, and find comfort where my burdens could finally be lifted.
