This piece is a heartfelt exploration of humanity's longing for peace, particularly in the midst of difficult and uncertain times. The work centers on’ the quiet’, often overlooked moments where individuals, yearn for tranquility amidst chaos. I used the CND (Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament) symbol infused into the eye to evoke a sense of calm and solidarity. These familiar motifs serve as reminders of the collective hope that peace is both possible and necessary.
This piece is inspired by humanity’s enduring search for inner and collective peace amid global unrest and personal struggles. Through the subjects calm expression and posture, I wanted to capture the quiet strength found in stillness, the moments when hope and gentleness become acts of resistance against chaos.
